John Mellencamp brought his Plain Spoken Tour to the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank New Jersey tonight. The show consisted of a few songs from his new album, Plain Spoken, a couple songs from his musical Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, and many of the songs which have made him one of the best around.
The show was great, as was his band. Carlene Carter opened the show with a strong 9 song acoustic set, which highlighted her beautiful voice. She also joined Mellencamp for 2 songs from The Ghost Brother of Darkland County.
