The second
Light of Day Kids show was presented yesterday at McLoone's Supper Club in Asbury Park, as part if the Light of Day concerts.
Last years show featured
Dawnie(Dawne Allyne) and
Mr. Ray(Ray Andersen). This years show was expanded to feature 5 performers, which managed to increase the number of attendees.
This year,
Miss Melissa's Aardvarks featuring
Melissa Chill,
Miss Sherri's Little Animal Band, Dawnie,
Yosi and Mr. Ray all performed. Miss Melissa performed several song including
Taxi, Miss Sherri's set included
Go Go Green,
Rockin' Choo Choo &
Send Them Up. Dawnie then took the stage and performed a few songs including
Little Caterpillar,
Silly Willy Freeze and
Great Big Castle. Yosi then performed a solo set which included
Five Little Monkey's and
B-E-A-C-H where he included a snippet of the
Tommy Tutone song
Jenny(
867-5309). Finally, Mr Ray performed with 3 young back up singers. His set included
Roy G Biv,
Music is a Language along with
This Land is Your Land. For the finale, Mr. Ray, Dawnie and Yosi performed the
Beatles classic
Here Comes the Sun.
Another fun show and hopefully an annual tradition as long as it's needed.
