As most people know, the most recognizable and successful configuration of the legendary band Fleetwood Mac are once again back together, with the return of Christine McVie.
Having never seen Fleetwood Mac, I jumped at the chance to see them, and could not have been disappointed, even if I wanted to be.
The five members, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham sounded , and even looked, great. They were joined by 3 back up singers and an additional guitarist & keyboardist/guitarist.The setlist was pretty much a greatest hits set, which is not a complaint. Heavy on their classic Rumours album(all but 2 songs from it were performed), and many of their 70's & 80's hits, they sounded great and were as tight as ever.
More than once the return of Christine McVie was mentioned and how moving forward they hope to write new music together. Her first lead vocals on You Make Loving Fun received a thunderous ovation from the crowd, obviously ecstatic that she was back.
